Legal Academic Preparation (LAP I)

August 13 – 17

Law school is a marathon that requires the development of strong skills and a strong commitment to the legal education process. The Legal Academic Prep (LAP) I is a week-long program designed to introduce the fundamental skills necessary to build the groundwork for successful outcomes throughout the law school experience. LAP I is mandatory for all new students including transfer students. The program will introduce students to academic skills such as case reading, briefing, statutory interpretation, time management, and study versus class preparation.

Attendance at LAP I is mandatory for all first year and incoming transfer students.

Please check back regularly for updated information, as a detailed schedule and book lists will be coming soon.

If you have questions about LAP I, please contact the Center for Academic and Bar Readiness at (909) 460-2056.
