La Verne Law has many scholarships—made possible by our generous alumni and friends that are available to 2L, 3L, and 4L students. Some require an application, which can be accessed here; preference will be given to students who submit an application. The deadline to submit an application for the 2020-2021 academic year is Monday, November 16, 2020.  If you have any questions, please direct them to

Heshmat Mirsepassi Endowed Scholarship for Muslim Students The faces of elementary school children Heshmat Mirsepassi taught in her native Iran lingered in her mind for decades. Many of those children came to school with just a crust of bread to eat for an entire day. One day, she vowed, she would have enough money to help them.

Glotzer & Leib’s Scholarship Fund We’re proud to support recipients by helping them cover college-related expenses. The winner(s) will receive a check for $1000. We will be offering this scholarship bi-annually.


This scholarship is open to any student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States. This includes students that have been accepted and have committed to attend a specific college or university next semester.

THE MAY FIRM BI-ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND The May Firm, we understand the importance of an education and just how difficult it can be to finance college these days. Robert May, our founding attorney here at The May Firm, was the first in his family to attend college! He’s incredibly appreciative of the opportunity he had to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for his undergraduate degree, then moving on to law school. As we all know, the cost of obtaining a higher education keeps rising, which can often times put students in a tough situation, both mentally and financially.

One Lawyer Can Change the World Scholarship In the right hands, a law degree can be a powerful tool. History is filled with great accounts of leaders who made it their life’s work to embody the law and serve as agents of change.

Each year we honor 10 future change agents who are heading to law school. All ten finalists will be rewarded with scholarships to help pay for the first year of law school.

RONALD HEDDING LAW FIRM $2,500 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP Hedding Law Firm, a Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley, CA criminal defense law firm is offering an annual $2,500 scholarship for students who are currently attending or enrolled in college or graduate school. The sky-rocketing costs of education and student loan debt are a major deterrent for many students who want to seek a higher education. It is our goal to help students with limited financial means to obtain a quality education to improve their chances of brighter future. Each year, the team at Insurance Guide Local offers a $500 scholarship to students pursuing their post-secondary education at a college or trade school. The Keith M. Fletcher Excellence in Ethics Scholarship 
Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. is excited to offer our annual Excellence in Ethics Scholarship. Through the competition of an1000 word or more essay discussing the importance of pro-bono legal work, first place receives $1000 and second place receives $500. Max Meyers Law Scholarship Program
Max Meyers Law believes in supporting those who look to further their education.  College costs continue to rise each year, which can cause stress and financial burden to families in our community.  We want students to be able to focus on learning and not have to worry about how they will pay for their schooling.  This is why we have rolled out the Max Meyers Law Scholarship program.  A $2,500 scholarship will be given to the individual who is selected as the winner of our essay challenge.

2020-2021 Cleanup.Expert Scholarship Program Two talented students will be awarded one of two monetary prizes of either $3,200 or $1,600 to be put toward tuition at a U.S. accredited college. Benjy Grinberg Scholarship Benjy Grinberg was fortunate to find his passion for music at a young age. Knowing that turning a passion into a career can be difficult due to a variety of factors, Benjy founded the Benjy Grinberg Scholarship with the hopes of helping those seeking higher education reach their educational and career goals.

The $1,000 scholarship is designed to relieve some of the financial burden of continuing education. It will be awarded to a current college student or high school senior who has been accepted into a college or university. More information and the application can be found below.

WEST COAST TRIAL LAWYERS SCHOLARSHIP At West Coast Trial Lawyers, our personal injury lawyers value education and helping students in need. We recognize that school tuition can be a very significant expense. In addition to ever increasing tuition, students may be responsible for paying for housing and other school-related expenses. Attending a school can cost students hundreds of thousands of dollars. West Coast Trial Lawyers is proud to offer financial help to students and their families, in the form of $1,000 scholarships, to individuals who are currently attending a university or college in The United States.

THE SAM HASKELL SCHOLARSHIP Sam Haskell founded this annual scholarship with the understanding that many students do not have the financial means to further their education. Sam Haskell is an Emmy nominated producer and founder of Magnolia Hill Productions. He was formerly Worldwide Head of Television at the William Morris Agency and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. Sam has been a lifelong patron for higher education and has helped many young people achieve their academic and professional goals. 

The Sam Haskell Scholarship will award one high school senior, current college, or graduate student with a $1,000 scholarship.

THE REIFF LAW FIRM SCHOLARSHIP The Reiff Law Firm, personal injury and car accident lawyers in Philadelphia since 1979, is pleased to announce that we are currently offering young law students the 2021 The Reiff Law Firm Legal Scholarship. This $1,000 scholarship is open to any student studying for a career in the legal field. All applicants must be: 

Pursuing an undergrad degree in pre-law, political science, or paralegal studies, or; 

Working towards their J.D. in any concentration related to the law.

Law school in the United States is expensive. Our firm wants to help a law student avoid some of the costs associated with law school, and we are now accepting applications for the NW Corporate Law scholarship, which will be awarded to one second or third year law student who is in financial need and who is actively enrolled in an ABA-approved law school. The award will be paid to the student, and the awarded funds may be used by the student for any expenses related to the student’s law school education. All of the details are below, including a link to the application. We offer this scholarship award biannually, in the spring and fall. The application requirements may change during each award period. 


  • Be a 2nd or 3rd year law student enrolled in an ABA-approved law school in the United States.
  • Have an interest in business law or entrepreneurship.

The scholarship is awarded biannually.

Spring 2021 scholarship applications must be submitted by May 1, 2021. The award will be given to a single winner by May 15, 2021.

  2. Essay: Law schools are sometimes criticized for not adequately preparing students to practice law upon graduation. In 500 – 700 words explain how you would change the law school experience to best prepare law students to practice upon graduation.

KOHLMEYER HAGEN LAW OFFICE SCHOLARSHIP Application Deadline: April 30, 2021
We are accepting applications for our annual Kohlmeyer Hagen Law Office Annual Scholarship worth $1000. This recurring scholarship will be awarded to one full-time student each spring. Students must be enrolled in an accredited high school, trade school, college, university or law school and excel in leadership and academics while maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0. Although pursuing a career in the legal field is not required, it will be taken into consideration. We invite all eligible students to apply, and we look forward to reviewing your application.   • Application for this scholarship may be submitted by any US citizen enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited high school, trade school, community college, college, university or law school.
  • An unofficial school transcript must be attached. It does not need to be sealed.

MELMED LAW GROUP COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIP The employment lawyers at Melmed Law Group P.C. proudly support the pursuit of success through higher education. Trademark Attorney of Tomorrow Scholarship Trademark Attorneys at Cohn Legal, PLLC understand that becoming a lawyer requires significant financial investment. Dealing with the costs alone can become overwhelming as you enter into your second, third, and final years of law school.

Trademark Attorney of Tomorrow Scholarship: Celebrating Future Lawyers 

Scholarship Award

Smith & Eulo Legal Scholarship Application Deadline: May 31, 2021
We are happy to announce the second annual Smith & Eulo legal scholarship! We’re offering a $2,500 scholarship to one current or prospective law student. This scholarship will be for the fall 2021 academic semester.

  • You must be a legal US resident, and either a current (1) law student at an accredited U.S. law school, or (2) undergraduate student at an accredited U.S. college or university who has applied to or will apply to law school. If you already have a full academic scholarship, you are not eligible.

2021 California ChangeLawyers 3L Diversity Scholarship

California ChangeLawyers 2021 3L scholarship application is now open. This scholarship is open to all diverse, recent 2020 law grads and soon-to-be graduates that intended to sit for the July 2021 California Bar Exam. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at a virtual event, recognized on our website and online material, be given access to exclusive bar exam resources, discounted bar prep rates, and a $5,000 scholarship to help off-set the costs of the California Bar Exam. 

The application will remain open until February 16th. However, please note that all material must be submitted by that deadline (LOR, transcript, etc.) so we recommend applicants begin completing the application immediately. No additional time will be provided. 

Scholarship recipients will be announced in the first week of April.

EMILY M. HEWITT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is administered through a Fund created by the Hewitt family to honor Emily M. Hewitt and to honor a student who shared her love of nature.  CBTA is proud to select and award this scholarship on their behalf.

PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIPS: To provide a monetary award of $2,500.00 for a promising California upper division or graduate student, who has shown an educational and career commitment to the study of the environment, shows a commitment to communicate and interpret a love of nature, and an understanding of need to practice conservation.

ELIGIBILITY:  Eligibility for application is extended to any student or graduate student enrolled full-time in an accredited California post-secondary educational institution whose educational career goals clearly demonstrate an interest in communicating and interpreting nature’s wonder.  Students pursuing degrees in environmental protection, forestry, wildlife and fisheries biology, parks and recreation, park management, environmental law and public policy, environmental art, and California history are encouraged to apply.  Dedication ideals of the scholarship will be considered at least as important as financial need in making the award.

N.G. Kaul Memorial Scholarship N.G. Kaul was a highly respected engineer, an immigrant from India who fulfilled the American dream of opportunity realized. He had a distinguished career in public service, first with New York City and then with the New York State DEC, rising to the position of Director of the Division of Water in 1992. That service was capped off, upon his retirement in 2002, by his appointment as Director of the USEPA effort to implement the dredging of PCB-polluted sediments in the Hudson River. He died in February 2004.

The N.G. Kaul Memorial Scholarship Fund will be offering up to $5,000 in scholarships to students pursuing graduate or doctoral degrees in environmental/civil engineering or environmental science concentrating on water quality, who show a commitment to government service.

Scholarship Policy and Procedures:

N.G. Kaul Memorial Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

  1. Interest in Government Service (essay): Demonstrates a commitment to pursue a career in government service
  2. Career Objective (essay): Relevance of career objective to the environmental field related to water quality
  3. Academic Potential: Grade Point Average and difficulty of courses taken
  4. Other Activities: Activities in programs and organizations demonstrating leadership abilities, and
  5. Character: Demonstrates an overall sense of good moral character and citizenship
