\"Law<\/p>\n

Although the La\u00a0Verne Law Library primarily serves the students and staff of the College of Law and Public Service, it is also open to all members of the University community. In addition, University of La Verne alumni and licensed attorneys with a current California Bar Card may use the library for free. However, all library patrons who fall into one of the categories listed below will only be allowed to use the library during specified times. In addition, visitors are required to sign in and receive a \u201cLaw Library\u201d visitor badge at the security desk each day they enter to use the Law Library.<\/span><\/p>\n

All library users are subject to the Law Library’s Guidelines for Visitors<\/a>. Any visitor who fails to abide by library policies\u2014or who appears to be a nuisance or danger to others\u2014may be removed from the premises<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Guidelines for Library Visitors<\/h2>\n

All visitors to the Law Library must abide by the following guidelines:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Visitors are permitted access to the Law Library for the purpose of conducting legal research using library materials, including digital materials available at the public terminal in the entrance to the library.<\/li>\n
  • Visitors are required to sign in and receive a “Law Library” visitor badge at the security desk each day they enter to use the Law Library.<\/li>\n
  • Visitors are welcome to request library services from library staff, but visitors should not approach law students to ask questions or initiate conversations.<\/li>\n
  • Use of the public terminal by library visitors is limited to one hour per day.<\/li>\n
  • Use of the computer lab is available only to current University of La Verne students and staff.<\/li>\n
  • Food is not allowed in the Law Library, study rooms, or computer lab; non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in covered containers, except for the computer lab.<\/li>\n
  • Use of tobacco products of any kind or of electronic cigarettes is not permitted in the Law Library.<\/li>\n
  • All library patrons should refrain from loud talking or creating disturbances of any kind and should treat other patrons and staff with respect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Failure to follow these guidelines\u2014or appear to be a nuisance or danger to others\u2014can result in revocation of library privileges and removal from the premises.<\/strong><\/p>\n
