Graduates will be capable of administering top-tier management responsibilities while also being able to identify relevant statutory issues and anticipate changes in the marketplace.<\/p>\n<h2>JD\/MBA Admissions<\/h2>\n<p><span>Applicants must meet the admission standards of each degree program and should check with each College for specific entrance requirements.<\/span> Typically, this occurs during the first year of law school (1L.) The student is then automatically accepted into the MBA program and begins their studies in the College of Business in 2L. Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/law.laverne.edu\/admission\/requirements\/\">College of Law and Public Service Admissions page<\/a> for further details.<\/p>\n<h2>JD\/MBA Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p>There are 12 units of shared coursework between the JD and the MBA. Six units of elective coursework in the MBA program will count towards JD elective requirements, and six units of the JD elective coursework will count towards the MBA elective requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>JD Curriculum<\/h3>\n<p>The JD curriculum consists of 88 total semester units. The first year is composed of foundational doctrinal courses that introduce the values and skills necessary for mastery of the law. In 2L, students explore the Litigation Track and the Transactional Law Track as well as up to 14 hours of elective courses. Up to 3 foundation courses may be required, depending on the student\u2019s undergraduate coursework and professional experience.
