La Verne Law MCLE Alumni Event Planned in Riverside
La Verne Law alumni and friends are encouraged to take part in an upcoming workshop refresher on successful strategies in court.
“The Nuts and Bolts of Courtroom Conduct: Where to Stand, When to Talk and When to Shut-Up!” will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Hall of Justice, 4100 Main Street, Department 54 in Riverside, with socializing to follow at the Salted Pig.
This special educational program features distinguished speakers, including The Honorable Jean Leonard (’77), Brandon Mercer, Esq. (’06), The Honorable Elisabeth Sichel, and James Warren Wiley, Esq.
Topics will include basic courtroom conduct, the art of advocacy, and real life examples of the good, the bad and the ugly – all with plenty of time for interaction with the trainers. Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned attorney with lots of stories of your own to share, this will be an enjoyable and informative look at best practices. (Attendees earn one hour of MCLE credit.)
