As the University of La Verne celebrates its 125th anniversary, we at the College of Law are proud to be playing a significant role in the university’s overall success. We are excited about the future and stand poised to make an even greater impact on the legal profession and the communities our graduates serve.Gilbert Holmes

Hard work and dedication by faculty, staff, administrators and students pulled the College of Law up from its dark period five years ago to the surviving and thriving school it is today.

As of today, the College of Law is entering a new era with impressive accomplishments. We received ABA full approval in March 2016; we exceeded our enrollment targets for entering and transfer students in Fall 2016, thus increasing the total enrollment of the College of Law by 100 students over the enrollment in Fall 2014. Our bar pass rates and employment statistics have been competitive for the past three years, and this year, we added seven new tenured, tenure-track and contract faculty members as well as two visiting faculty members. We are adding new leadership in the admissions, student affairs and career services areas and we are ahead of schedule in meeting our financial targets. Additionally, our new experiential learning oriented curriculum and our innovative and price sensitive True Tuition Model® are in their fourth year. These milestones continue to mark the University of La Verne College of Law as a leader in developing and implementing a 21st Century model of legal education.

We have become more engaged in the Inland Empire communities with expanded clinics and relationships with the bench and bar, and new externship partnerships with the San Bernardino County judiciary, the San Bernardino County Public Defenders and District Attorney offices and the Inland Empire Medical Legal Partnership. Moreover, we have reengaged our La Verne Law alumni that graduated from the La Verne and Ontario campuses as well as with our alumni who graduated from our San Fernando Valley campus.

In the words of the title of a song penned by the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, “It’s a New Day, Part 1 and Part 2.” Now is the time to join the College of Law and make our new era a vibrant, impactful and game-changing one.
