The Justice Bus Project, it is a program that takes teams of attorney and law student volunteers from urban areas to set up free legal clinics for low-income Californians living in rural and isolated communities. These clinics provide life-changing legal assistance to low-income veterans, vulnerable seniors, children with disabilities, low-wage workers, immigrant youth, and families.
This year students from the COL will be partnering with attorneys at Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance to help residents of the greater Bakersfield area. Students will spend two days participating in a criminal record clearance clinic as well as an estate planning clinic.
The College of Law will only be sponsoring 14 students to participate in the Justice Bus program. This is an amazing opportunity and spaces are limited so be sure to apply ASAP.
The application deadline is Wednesday, February 15th @ 1:30pm.
